The Atomic feels like an absolute tank in the hand. That’s mostly thanks to the beefy aluminum surround, which also has rubber extrusions on the bottom two corners and TPU on the top. Compared with a normal case, the Atomic is noticeably wider, taller, and slightly heavier, meaning that it probably isn’t the best choice if you have smaller hands and already think the Pixel 2 XL is too big. The branding on the clear back is a little aggressive for my tastes, but it could be worse. All in all, I’m not a huge fan of the way the case looks, but I can see how it’d appeal to some.
