However, all this rubber does make putting your phone into your pants pocket a bit more difficult, and it may not even fit in smaller pockets. But that’s the trade-off you have to make with a case this protective. Cutouts are all accurate, and the rubber around the fingerprint sensor hole actually makes scanning your fingerprint comfortable. Branding on the exterior is limited to a small ‘Speck’ logo on the top right of the back.
It’s a curious detail that since the introduction of clean air legislation in the early 1980s, coal fired power stations in Germany have been legally obliged to scrub their smoke of fine dust particles, which are for the most part ash with traces of sulfur. This is done with an electrostatic precipitator (also called an ESP), that charges the particles, and then draws them down so that they heap up in huge hoppers that look like geometric teats. Periodically, semitrailers come and collect the fine dust that has accumulated in the hoppers. Clean, white, and powdery, this dust is sold to manufacturers who turn it into plaster, and then drywall (made of calcium sulfate dihydrate). Even as servers continue to model these spaces in which we will live, the dust rain continues to silently fall. Hundreds of thousands of tons of it, every year. Even as we sit in front of screens, in order to pay for our homes or distract ourselves from them, the dust falls. The more electricity we consume, the cheaper and more widely available drywall is. The thin-walled world that we see around us is a side effect of the electricity that we consume as we produce it, study it, and dwell in it. A polygonal balloon inflated by the light with which we illuminate it. The built environment, when examined via this metabolic material path, is in all earnest a media effect, a strange double to the stucco ornament of the rococo, with its inhuman profusion, its rank fecundity. You are looking through a sequence of photographs. At first, they all look the same. And they seem to show the same thing: nothing. No furniture, no people. You have the feeling you are in a labyrinth. You become disoriented.
Visually, the Velar is beautifully balanced with powerful proportions; a continuous waist line rises through to the taut tapered lines of the rear and a generous 113.15-inch wheelbase contributes significantly to both its elegant design and spacious interior.

Long story short: the Tough Armor is a great case. It’s virtually flawless aside from the finish getting a little too grimy too quickly. The kickstand is something few other cases have, for whatever reason. The Tough Armor costs $16.99 for the Pixel 2 and $17.99 for the 2 XL. To get the gunmetal finish (I have the black) which I’d imagine would hide fingerprints better, you’ll need to pony up an extra dollar. The price is on the high end for Spigen, but it’s still very reasonable.
Nine distinctive wheel designs ranging from 18- to 22-inches with a choice of four finishes are available. Standard models are equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels as standard. S models upgrade to a 19-inch wheel, SE models move up to a 20-inch wheel and HSE models increase to a 21-inch wheel as standard. On models above the standard trim level, customers can specify up to 22-inch alloy wheels, which form part of the First Edition model’s comprehensive standard equipment.
The XPAD version of the L10 addresses the needs of customers who like a hard handle with integrated scanner and programmable buttons. And the XBOOK version turns the L10 tablet into a full-function laptop replacement with its well-matched detachable keyboard and kickstand.
While the Covert 2 isn’t horrible, that’s not enough to distinguish it from the competition. It’s not the easiest on the eyes, it isn’t the best at any particular category, and $14.95 isn’t a bargain. It’s also only available at Ghostek’s site and not Amazon, which pretty much guarantees that nobody will buy it. And I don’t mean to sound harsh, but given the quality of other cases, I’m fine with that. It’s available in black, orange, pink, red, teal, and white.
I’m legitimately confused how this case made it past the drawing board. It’s horrible in every single measurable way, and yet Google wants $49 for one (or $45 for the standard Pixel 2). It simply oozes cheapness. If you do want to pick one up for whatever reason, the Bellroy leather case is available in four (admittedly pretty good-looking) colors: Black, Navy, Caramel, and Stone.
Seconded. My tiles always get damaged or destroyed (or shifted) and hand drawn maps that large could take a while to crank out by hand. Looks like a good system to use with miniatures like you say. I was not hip to roll20 so will have to give it a look over lunch
The suspension systems also offer outstanding wheel articulation and ensure that the Velar can handle a variety of terrains2. With an approach angle of up to 24.5 degrees, breakover angle of up to 20.3 degrees, a departure angle of up to 27.0 degrees, and a maximum wading depth of 25.6-in/650mm (23.6-in/600mm with coil spring suspension) the Range Rover Velar offers exemplary off-road capability.
“Because of this we’re seeing a trend toward maximizing the usability of the garage for more than just vehicles and yard equipment," by adding storage systems and other amenities.
