Incipio sent me the TheMintGardener versions of this case, which are the exact same as the Oh Joy! ones, but with different designs. Here are some pictures.
A friend of a friend just finished his version of this, and it looks pretty cool. He turned an old pool table into this, but with an custom map changer that the DM can modify on a whim. This table fits around eight people, has cup holders, everything this has. But this has tablets set up to look through the characters’ perspectives. The only downfall is that the interactive view tablets cannot be moved, and the IV can only hold four players and a DM. Cost him from about $500 to $1000. Exspensive, but oh so cool
The Exec 2 is a good idea with some added flair in the form of a fabric back and a leather pocket, but it’s ultimately a usability nightmare. The cards are difficult to take out, the pocket takes up so much space that you can’t even feel the fabric back, and all of this makes the case extremely thick. If you have skinny jeans and struggled to fit the phone itself in your pockets, good luck with this monstrosity. It’s a shame that the fabric back and tactile buttons were used on a case that isn’t nicer overall. It comes in black, brown, pink, purple, red, and silver.

Since the case is basically a shell, there’s not much to worry about. The buttons are exposed, though they are a little obstructed by the case on the bottom. The cutout for the fingerprint sensor is adequate, as is that of the camera (even if it is shaped a little weirdly). The integrated magnet on the back is cool, though you will need to pay an extra $10 to get the mount from PITAKA. That mount was too large for the air vents in my old BMW, though your mileage will obviously vary. I tried using a run-of-the-mill circular magnetic mount off Amazon, but that didn’t hold it very well for some reason, even though it held my Thin Fit and its magnet just fine. Again, this may not be an issue for you, but it’s important to keep in mind.

"Walk into any Montrose dive bar, and it won’t be long until someone launches into a rant about how the neighborhood isn’t as quirky, artistic, or gay as it used to be. … But the neighborhood still has character to spare, and people still flock here."

I had previously asked Ive about the rounded corners and edges that have long helped distinguish an Apple product from a ThinkPad or a book. (As Apple’s product range has narrowed to a series of flat rectangles, these transitions have become a surviving zone of pure industrial design.) On a day when Ive was so exhausted that it seemed possible he might fall asleep while talking, he became animated when describing the “primitive” design geometry that was usual before the computer era—essentially, two straight lines joined by a fragment of a circle. He then spoke of the opportunities that now exist, if the material permits, to take a more elegant path from one line to another; he talked of tangency breaks and Bézier surfaces. When I mentioned this to Powell Jobs, she cried out, “Yes! That is such a breakthrough, I forgot about that.” For each product, Jobs and Ive would discuss corners “for hours and hours.” She later noted that she and Ive share a taste for Josef Frank, the Austrian-Swedish designer of rounded furniture and floral fabrics, who once announced, in a lecture, “No hard corners: humans are soft and shapes should be, too.”
