If I’m being honest, it took me a couple of minutes of comparison and research to figure out if this Kate Spade Flexible Hardshell case is the same one, sans design, as the Incipio Oh Joy! case above. What I’ve determined is that while Kate Spade cases are produced by Incipio, the two actually have slightly different materials, along with a very different price.

When the wood and iron staircase they’d ordered arrived, it was in one piece, unable to be taken apart and set into the wall as they had anticipated. For hours they tried to hoist it up, lean it against the second floor, or even a rafter, then secure it in place, but it was a near-impossible task.

Yikes. Great idea, poor execution. Really needs a glass (or plexi) cover over the whole thing. TV’s too small. This is gonna be impossible to clean, and spills will be redirected straight where you don’t want them to go.

Even in terms of quality, the Honor 8C’s display is just about okay. By default, its color temperature appears to be a bit on the warmer side, but that can be changed under the display settings. The display is usable under direct sunlight, provided you crank up the brightness all the way up to maximum. On the plus side though, color reproduction and viewing angles are quite nice!

The only saving grace for this case is its FlexShock technology, which features small ridges within the thick border aimed at dissipating energy when the phone is dropped. I would trust this case if I dropped my phone in it, but I’m really not a fan of anything else about it. That’s not to mention the $39.95 price tag for the Pixel 2 and the $44.95 price for the Pixel 2 XL. Quite frankly, with all of this case’s flaws, I would hesitate to pay half that amount. If you do want one, though, keep in mind that Amazon only sells the clear/white variant for both phones.
