Figure 1a–d shows the bi-conductive surfaces fabricated and tested for the current work. Grooves were first machined into copper substrates and subsequently filled with a two-part high-temperature epoxy. After curing the entire part was sanded by hand to remove excess epoxy, resulting in flat surfaces with lines of epoxy dividing the copper into parallel strips.
